Dr. Donna Adams-Pickett
Dr. Donna Adams-Pickett is the proprietor of the Augusta Women’s Health & Wellness Center in Augusta, Georgia, and a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Adams-Pickett is a graduate of Emory University, the Medical College of Georgia, and Howard University, and also holds a PhD in microbiology and immunology from Howard University. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology has granted her board certification.
Her knowledge has been highlighted in Vice Media, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Essence magazine, and the PBS Newshour as a dedicated advocate for women’s health issues. Her most recent appearance was in the documentary “Birthing Justice,” which examined the epidemic of Black Maternal Mortality in the US.
Dr. Adams-Pickett is committed to educating and advocating for the local community. She is the author of two puberty books with African-American protagonists – Bobby’s Big Boy Guidebook and Big Sis’ Guide to Growing Up. She sees herself as a “women’s healthcare warrior,” and she is always ready to put her patients and their families before herself.
